1- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
2- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3- Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract into the dry ingredients. Beat at medium speed for about 2 minutes until properly mixed up.
4- Stir in the boiling water until the batter is well mixed. The batter may appear thin, which is perfectly normal.
5- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pan.
6- Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
7- Take the cake out of the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Afterwards, transfer the cake to a wire rack to cool completely.
8- Once cooled, you can frost the cake with your favorite chocolate frosting or ganache. Optionally, sprinkle with chocolate chips or chopped nuts for decoration.
